The AATSP offers numerous programs that foster professional development for both new and experienced teachers.
NJAATSP promotes the teaching of Spanish and Portuguese languages, culture and literature at all educational levels. It offers workshops and seminars, facilitates information about the National Spanish Examination, a motivational language skills contest for high school students and honor societies for middle and high school students. We also hold an annual Poster Contest K-12 and Spanish essay contest for high school seniors. Many student and teacher scholarships are available. Members receive Hispania, the official journal of AATSP, four times a year.
